Marching Into Spring

March is upon us and many of us might be ending up cooped inside longer than we previously anticipated. With all this forced down time, what is one to do in such a moment of need? Catch up on your favorite pieces of entertainment?? Then ESN and the 8-Bit Dojo will be happy to provide entertainment with our March Event.

March's Event will be showcased by Squadron Leader Spazee_McGee, thebestchimera, SavageBearTV, PowerCrunchTV, itsChowderBTW and ImpactedPiko. These four will dive into deep role-playing while playing a new Steam release called Squad. Squad is a squad-based, warfare game. A single match pits two factions, and each of those are comprised of smaller squads maxing out around nine players. Avaiable classes include anti-tank specialists, combat engineer, medic, and various types of riflemen. Base construction and overall teamwork will be guided by the Squad leader.

The communication and overall teamwork will be on display on Saturday March 28th at 4pm PST / 7pm EST. The roles of each player will be teased in our promotional video that'll come out before the event so stayed tuned for that on our Twitter and/or Discord.

Other news on the gaming front that effects some of ESN's very own is the window for submissions for Summer Games Done Quick 2020 closes on March 14th, at 11:59pm PST.

Games Done Quick is a mulit-part series every year of charity video game marathons. These events feature high-level gameplay by speedrunners raising money for charity. GDQ has represented Doctors Without Borders and the Prevent Cancer Foundation. These large stages provide our entertainers to spread good deeds through charity and subsequently with a chance to garner a further reach to continue to spread the good vibes once back home.

General Andrews has performed at events like Calithon 2019, and SGDQ 2019 with his sights set to SGDQ 2020. His submissions include : Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers All Zones Co-op with Sinister1, TMNT IV: Turtles In Time Any% Hard Co-op with Dospostmann and a Vectorman Race vs Dospostmann. All those applying know its a competitive field to get a run in but eagerly look forward to this stressful time of year as hopes and dreams ride with each submission choice.

With everything that is happening in our world currently, us at the 8-Bit Dojo do wish you to stay safe in these times and limit unnecessary outside contact for a period in time while the hysteria calms down. Stay home, turn on Twitch or whichever form you prefer to ingest any of us on and we will provide a safe place for content you can count on. Be safe fam, we love you!
